It is situated 15 miles (24 km) east from Scunthorpe, 8 miles (13 km) north-west from Grimsby, and, with its neighbour South Killingholme, it makes up the larger area of Killingholme. Conjoined to North Killingholme is the small housing estate of Garden Village.
